The phoenix has long been a symbol of hope and rebirth, and at The Phoenix Recovery Center, we help individuals and their families find new beginnings.

Our Utah rehab center focuses on helping individuals and families learn the skills they need to achieve wellness and maintain long-term recovery. Through our continuum of care, clients and families can engage in a treatment tailored to their individual needs. We help individuals understand the difference between inpatient vs outpatient rehab and help our patients tailor their treatments to best meet their needs.

Our client-centered approach helps build self-confidence and empowers our patients to take control of their lives. As a result, individuals and families can find stability and meaning in their lives after addiction and mental health crises.

At The Phoenix Recovery Center, we treat substance use disorder (SUD) and mental health disorders on separate tracks, each with its own residential treatment component.

Residential Treatment for Mental Health Disorders

The Phoenix Recovery Center prides itself on providing comprehensive care for individuals struggling with mental health disorders. Part of that care includes ensuring that our patients receive the best possible treatment for their individual needs.

We do not provide acute medical residential treatment for psychiatric stabilization, but we are partnered with some of the best psychiatric centers on the Wasatch Front. If it is determined that acute medical residential treatment is needed, we will ensure that you are taken care of.

Once you have stabilized from an acute medical and mental health crisis, we will work with you to create a customized treatment plan to help you achieve your long-term recovery goals. Upon discharge from inpatient care, individuals may enter the more intensive outpatient program where they will receive up to 22 hours of weekly support (partial hospitalization program – PHP) or the less intensive 10 hours of outpatient support (intensive outpatient program – IOP).

Residential Treatment for SUD

Residential Treatment ProgramAt The Phoenix Recovery Center, we provide a luxurious, 24-hour live-in program boasting 44 beds within our state-of-the-art facility. In addition, we provide gender-specific wings giving privacy to all our clients.

Our inpatient facilities are gender-specific in the early stages of post-acute withdrawal to focus on gender-specific factors essential in early recovery. This allows us to separate medical and clinical services so that each client receives the individualized care that they need and deserve.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Partial Hospitalization ProgramThe intensive outpatient day program, or partial hospitalization program (PHP), provides groups from 9 am to 8 pm Monday through Thursday and Friday 9 am to 5 pm. To be sensitive to individual needs, patients can select from a schedule of groups that amount to 22 hours a week in PHP treatment.

Clients also receive three hours of individual therapy a week. Pharmacological support continues to be a vital and critical aspect of mental health therapy in PHP. In addition, psychiatric care often includes pharmacological support. Often, medication is pivotal in establishing emotional stabilization and the ability to develop skills to cope with life challenges and create purposeful choices.

Intensive Outpatient for Mental Health

Intensive OutpatientThe intensive outpatient program (IOP) for mental health treatment at The Phoenix Recovery Center meets Monday through Thursday, with group hours provided during the day and evening to support all schedules. IOP participants attend eight hours of group and one hour of individual therapy a week.

Mental wellness skills and therapeutic experiences allow individuals to gain insight into their mental health management efforts. This also enables self-awareness of life pursuits and the corresponding stresses and coping skills required to succeed.

IOP for SUD

Our intensive outpatient drug rehab center offers a customizable schedule Monday through Friday. Sober and therapeutic experiences continue to support the recovering person as they gain insight into their disease management and life pursuits and the corresponding stresses and coping skills required to be successful.

At our outpatient drug treatment center, individuals will continue to experience The Phoenix Recovery Center treatment programs and learn how to identify and manage high-risk situations that may trigger a relapse.

Continuing care groups provide ongoing support and accountability in a safe and confidential environment. We also offer individualized therapy sessions for those who feel they need more one-on-one attention. Our goal is to help you successfully transition back into your everyday life, armed with the tools you need to maintain your sobriety.

Recovery Capital

Recovery capital is the extent and quality of resources that can support an individual through initiating and maintaining their recovery from SUD and mental health disorders. These resources can be internal (such as close family support networks) and external (such as accessibility to affordable health care).

The Phoenix Recovery Center offers a variety of treatment programs designed to help people recovering from SUD and mental health disorders build their recovery capital and skills. As the person in recovery continues to build upon their recovery capital, recovery support derived from formal treatment decreases.

The developmental process of recovery is reflected in the recovering person building upon their social affiliations and community-based recovery support. Additionally, The Phoenix Recovery Center provides opportunities for the person in recovery to demonstrate they have identified with a pro-social identity by participating in various meaningful roles and activities within the community. These include but are not limited to volunteering, employment, education, and family roles.

The Phoenix Recovery Center is committed to helping individuals on every step of their journey to wellness.
